EU – Ecological Certificate

HAKAWERK W. Schlotz GmbH has been awarded with the EU – Ecology Certificate (EU – Oeko – Audit). It is one of the first companies in Germany to receive this certification.

For many years, Hakawerk has been guaranteeing a high level of environment protection concerning products as well as packaging. Additionally, all the manufacturing area area and manufacturing processes in Waldenbuch have now been checked under environment aspects and many improvements have already been realized.

HAKAWERK has introduced, as an important part of the certification, an environmental management system, an environmental audit and has then drawn up an environmental program. Our objective is the continuous improvement of the environmental protection, not only concerning operational questions but for all companies resident in Waldenbuch.

The first check in February 1998 has been a success and therefore, HAKAWERK has been awarded March 1, 1998. Every three years, this check will be repeated by an independent expert in order to assure a continuous improvement.

In 2002, the HAKAWERK was approved by the EU for environment -  friendly manufacturing.
